Odeon Cosmo

Odeon Cosmo

Over two decades ago I ordered a Cosmopolitan at The Odeon in NYC. I was dining with famliy outside on a perfect September night after watching US Open Tennis. Maybe it was just a magical evening or how the bartender prepared it but to this day the “Cosmo” is my favorite cocktail (other than a Skinny Margarita). Enjoy!

John Daly

John Daly

Love a cold, refreshing Arnold Palmer? Me too. Last summer I discovered this John Daly drink which is the cocktail version of this famous drink and makes for a perfect refresher on a hot day. It’s a combination of lemonade, iced tea, and vodka and is named after the famous American golfer John Daly. Whether you brew your own tea and make homemade lemonade is up to you, but this is sure to become a summer favorite.

Hot Buttered Rum

Hot Buttered Rum

My favorite bar in town serves these on a secret menu just as soon as the weather gets a chill in the air. They actually pre-make the mix and keep it in the fridge and scoop out individual servings as needed. This one definitely warms you up!

Irish Hot Toddy

Irish Hot Toddy

The first time I had one of these was on a rainy, cold day at a golf course in Ireland watching the Solheim Cup. I was immediately hooked. I’ve always loved a hot toddy on cool nights or when I don’t feel well but the ones we had in Ireland upped the game with an assortment of spices. Give this a try while sitting around a fire this fall.

Paloma

Paloma

Our nextdoor neighbor has a tree overflowing with grapefruits, and has given us free rein to pick as many as we’d like. As a result, the Paloma has become our go-to cocktail. The tart-sweet combo of the grapefruit, lime and agave make for a wonderfully refreshing drink when mixed with club soda over ice. We tend to make these to taste, so feel free to adjust the ratios to your liking. Cheers! – Meghan
