Festive Mulled Wine
Warm the cockles of your heart with this classic European, warm winter drink. A festive party favorite that can stay warm on the stove – if it starts running low, just keep topping it up!

Ingredients
- 1 bottle red wine (blend or table wine is good or whatever you have on hand)
- 2 large cinnamon sticks
- 1 heaped tbsp whole cloves
- 4 to 5 orange slices
- 1 tbsp allspiceÂ
- A pinch of nutmeg
- 2 cups fresh orange juice (or water if flavor is too bold)
- 4 tbsp brown sugar, or to taste
Instructions
- In a large saucepan warm the wine cinnamon, cloves and orange slices on a low heat, stirring occasionally – do not let it boil. 

- Once it has reached a warm-hot temperature and steam is beginning to rise, add in the rest of the ingredients (all spice, nutmeg, orange juice (or water) and sugar.)
 Stir until sugar has fully dissolved.Â
- Taste, add more sugar if necessary. 

- Ladle into cups and serve warm.
