At DoubleShot Creative, we share our favorite campaigns, social media posts, design trends, and more with each other so we can continue to push the boundaries of creativity. When you witness someone else’s creative genius, it can often inspire you to tap into yours.

So let’s lose ourselves in creativity for a few minutes and look at some of our most recent creative crushes for this spooky season:

Halloween: Rebranded

If there’s one thing our creative director Lauren Wilson has noticed this month, it’s the deviation from the traditional orange and black color scheme we’re used to seeing during Halloween. With “millennial pinks” and pastels, Halloween doesn’t have to feel so spooky anymore.

These examples from At Home and Milk + Confetti are perfect examples of how a simple color scheme can make a huge difference in aesthetics and make celebrating a little less scary!

Finding Beauty in the Spooky

You can’t have “Spooky Season” without finding art that makes you feel a little spooked. Our art director Noëlla Bible was drawn to these unique art pieces by Puerto Rican artist Sebastián Gutiérrez that showcased inner beauty through two-layered portraits.

The Perfect Pair

Our founder and creative director, Patty Tulloch, got a kick out of this Halloween candy and wine pairing chart. While a lighthearted social media campaign, this just goes to show that you can market anything within your niche. Just remember to have fun with it!

Do you see your favorite wine and candy pairing?

Friendly Ghosts

Our creative director Meghan Cordella was thinking of the kiddos this month when she came across this children’s book by Flavia Zorrilla Drago called Gustavo the Shy Ghost. Flavia’s unique and detailed illustration style caught Meghan’s eye as the art tied in cultural elements from the Day of the Dead celebration. This heartwarming story is the perfect Halloween tale and a great story about friendship!

Mood Board Inspiration

When feeling like your creative well is starting to run dry, there’s nothing we love more than looking at mood boards to get those creative juices flowing. With the colors and textures of this post from Moodboard.club, we can’t help but get the autumn feeling by looking at these beautiful collages of inspiration.

Brands on Theme

From memes to product design, it’s always fun to see brands embracing the season and making it their own. We love these examples from Starbucks, Pottery Barn, and Pier 1 Imports!
